Tash Bell, a former TV presenter and family journalist, has launched theswish.co.uk to inspire and equip young people to embrace recycling, second-hand shopping and make their own clothes. She also runs workshops at Meadow in Stockbridge to teach easy sewing skills and innovative upcycling techniques. To support her work, Tash has written a young adult novel, The Swish, which tells the story of a “thrift store Cinderella” who fights back against bullies and her family’s financial troubles by making her own dress for the school prom.
